Start stealing your neighbors' gas, the thundersnow is coming! (Note: this is very close to the tone of Philadelphia weathermen when it snows.)

These two illustrations are by Jan Kudlacek for the Artia collection Legends of the Sun, the Moon and the Stars (1977). I own the French edition (Legendes du Soleil, de la Lune et des Etoiles), but the full English title apparently begins "At the End of the Rainbow."

The Czech press Artia was also responsible for the illustrations in Indoslovakia. Their books were published in many languages and can often be found for a few dollars.
