Christmas can Kiss My Arse!

This is my blog so it's about my opinions and my ideas, right? Call me a grinch but I strongly dislike Christmas. I just don't celebrate it, not my thing. So I have to say, I am more than offended by all the carry on as Dec, 25th looms. I have my reasons for not liking Christmas:

1. I am not Christian, Jesus is not my saviour (Nor my homeboy) and therefore I do not need to celebrate the birth of J.C. Because Xmas is a Christian celebration, I find it offensive so many non-believers decide this is when they are going to get on the Christmas bandwagon. Boo for a religion grab.

2. Santa. I don't like the concept of lying to children to make them greedy. Santa isn't real so why the big carry on with getting pics taken? And really, do kids NEED any more toys and crap? Why lie to them to make parents spend more money? And not to mention making parents feel guilty if they can't afford enough presents from Santa and the family.

3. Lights/Decoration. I don't like store brought decorations. It's bad enough we already have many mass produced junk from third world nations (Or the slums in China). So why do we have to make a holiday to collect more junk? The lights REALLY piss me off. I live in a street where my house is the only house without lights all over my house. Not only does it look tacky, but it's a complete waste of time, effort and energy. Just think how much better it would be if people spent their time  helping the poor/homeless/disabled instead of putting rows of lights on their roof. And not to mention all the idiots who drive around in their air conditioned cars, wasting fuel.
AND... I strongly dislike the concept of decorating places to make it look like a winter wonderland. This is Australia! If things were a little more relevant (Think Bucko and Champs Christmas Carols) I wouldn't be so offended, but really do we needs fake snow when it's 29 Celsius in the shade?

Have I said it all? From the over commercialized lie of santa to the mass produced lights, Christmas is not my idea of a holiday.

Oh, I forgot the traffic! I hate trawling though the local shops, just to find a car park when all I want is to buy some groceries!

Jesus is so cool but he's not my homeboy.
